This micro-credential, aligned with standards set by the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA), prepares individuals to develop foundational skills in modern automation and industrial environments. Students will develop skills to connect, adjust, operate, troubleshoot, and analyze electrical circuits using basic electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, direct current (DC) motors, solenoids, manual switches, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, transformers, and indicators.
Additional skills include adherence to electrical safety rules, reading electrical circuit diagrams, applying Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws, using digital multimeters, interpreting series/parallel circuits, and assessing power/circuit protection.
