This micro-credential, aligned with standards set by the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA)prepares individuals to build foundational skills in modern automation and industrial environments. Students will develop skills to connect, configure, adjust, and operate alternating current (AC) variable frequency motor drives using basic volts per hertz mode.
Additional skills include adhering to variable frequency drive (VFD) safety rules, operating VFD in manual using keypad, performing normal VFD startup and shutdown, performing emergency shutdown, viewing and editing parameters, changing speed with potentiometer, interfacing/configurating external discrete input/output, interpreting error codes, resetting drive errors, and configurating for acceleration, deceleration, and braking.
