This course focuses on how team leaders identify tasks to be performed, develop action plans, and effectively direct the work of their team members. Participants will learn a six-step process of delegation. During this interactive course, participants will have an opportunity to practice their delegation skills and receive feedback.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the barriers and benefits of delegation
- How to plan and prioritize assignments
- How to define the scope of work and authority
- How to deal with resistant employees
We recommend, but it is not required, that participants start the supervision program with Stepping Up to Supervisor followed by Using Feedback Effectively.
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for entry- to mid-level supervisors and managers, small business owners, technical staff, and individuals interested in leadership roles.

This workshop is part of the Supervision Certificate: Individual Format. Stepping Up to Supervisor followed by Using Feedback Effectively are prerequisites for all other workshops in the Supervisory Certificate: Individual Format. This course is 6.0 hours long (.6 CEUs).
