This session is for participants who already use Claude regularly and want to see what it can do when the assignment is genuinely hard. We will not revisit model selection, custom instructions, or how Projects are created—that was the applied foundations session. We begin instead with what has changed since we last met, because Claude’s capabilities and the best way to work with it have both moved.

The session then takes on complex work. Participants will watch Claude handle analysis across a substantial body of documents, produce a multi-part deliverable that holds together across its pieces, and carry a revision process through many rounds without losing the thread. The emphasis is on how to structure a difficult request—defining the goal, supplying the right material, naming constraints and standards, and building in checkpoints—so that a long task produces something usable rather than something that drifts.

A significant portion of the session is devoted to reusability and to agentic work. Projects and Skills allow institutional context and formatting standards to be captured once and applied consistently, which matters far more at this level than at the applied foundations one. Claude Cowork—now on desktop, web, and mobile—Claude Code, and Dispatch extend the same idea beyond the chat window, where Claude reads and organizes real files, synthesizes across them, and produces finished documents and spreadsheets while the participant stays in control at defined review points.

The session closes on judgment, at the level advanced use requires. More capable delegation means larger consequences when it goes wrong and more sensitive material in play. Participants will work through how to review output they did not watch being produced, where human sign-off is not optional, and how to keep AI-assisted work aligned with data-security obligations around protected information.
