AI Essentials | ChatGPT in the Real World: Productivity Workflows for Staff & Faculty (August 25, 2026)

Live Online  25.00  Tue, Aug 25, 11:30AM - 1:00PM

Session Description

ChatGPT can support much more than individual writing or brainstorming tasks. When used strategically, it can become a repeatable workflow tool that helps structure complex work, accelerate analysis, and produce polished deliverables more efficiently. In this applied session, participants will move beyond basic features to learn how ChatGPT Plus and Team can support consistent, high-impact work processes.

The session focuses on refining how participants configure settings, structure prompts, and iterate with ChatGPT to produce higher quality results. Through scenario-based demonstrations and guided practice, participants will explore how to break complex work into staged prompts, reusable templates, and structured review steps that reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

Participants will also learn how to design and use custom GPTs to standardize common tasks such as briefing preparation, meeting planning, policy-aware drafting, and maintaining a consistent tone and format across deliverables. Additional exercises will demonstrate how ChatGPT can help synthesize and analyze source materials to generate grounded summaries, comparisons, and decision-support outputs.

By the end of the session, participants will have practical strategies for integrating ChatGPT into real work processes, designing reusable AI-supported workflows, and applying validation and responsible-use practices to ensure outputs are accurate, appropriate, and ready to share.
