Reports of data breaches, identity theft, and unwanted surveillance are common in the news. How can you ensure that your organization won’t get caught up in one of these stories?
This course will introduce you to the challenging and fast-evolving world of information privacy and data security compliance. You’ll develop a general understanding of the nature of privacy rights, major sources of privacy law, fair information practices (FIPs), and key considerations and activities involved in building and implementing an information privacy program.
Professor Peter Guffin will also lead you in exploring some current, real-life challenges facing organizations in the digital age, including the rise of Big Data and proliferation of AI technologies, and discuss how they might intersect with your organization’s compliance program.
